Croydon Athletic Reserves 3 v 4 Dulwich Hamlet Reserves
Capital Football League - Keith Tuckey Stadium. Att: 35
Monday, 21st April 2008
Trailing 3-0 at half-time it appeared that the Rams had already lost this game but the less than enthralling first half did not give a hint of what was to come. The home side stormed back after the restart and clawed their way back into the game with two goals before they got themselves a penalty. But the chance to draw level was missed after the spot kick was saved. Dulwich's lead did not last much longer, however, and Croydon finally drew level with a sharp turn and shot.
A disallowed goal denied Croydon an unlikely lead although the whistle had gone long before the ball was in the net. The game had really opened up but the valient comeback was not to be completed as Dulwich popped up to scramble a goal, at the second attempt after a good save, to give them the lead and then the victory.
