For the second game running the Rams are reduced to 10 men in the first half and were again unable to hold their opponents. A silly slap by forward Adam Greenway got a him his marchinhg orders when the game was finely balanced. Then, before half time, the visitors opened the scoring from the penalty spot after a disputed decision had gone against the home side.
The game was seemingly put beyond doubt immediately after the break when the visitors made it 2-0 but the Rams showed some guts and determination in pulling back a goal from Moses Ademola and they could have got a point from the game after hitting the bar in the final minute.
Despite the loss there is a sense of anticipation for next season following the final home game and there will be keen interest over the summer in who will stay and who will come in as the manager prepares for his first full season.
