Dismal and dreary; and the weather wasn't very good either...

Tooting and Mitcham United 0 v 0 Metropolitan Police
Ryman League Division One South - Imperial Fields. Att: 274
Tuesday, 15th April 2008

These sides could easily meet again in the next few weeks during the end-of-season play-offs for promotion. If they do they won't have the neutrals flooding back after they produced a poor game that was summed up by the goalless draw. Neither side looked capable of scoring and between them produced only a handful of chances. The Met came close when they had a shot, the first of the game, saved after 76 minutes. Tooting managed to miss a far post header when it looked easier to score after the 'keeper was stranded in no-man's land.

On this performance if either side get promoted they will need to strengthen their team to make any sort of impression. For a rejuvenated Croydon Athletic, however, the idea that two teams like this can lift themselves into the play-off places bodes very well for next season.
