And the curtain falls - well almost...

Horsham YMCA 0 v 3 Croydon Athletic
Ryman League Division One South - Gorings Mead. Att: 112
Saturday, 26th April 2008

It was a good final performance of the season for the Rams who secured a good win against a Horsham YMCA side that are already looking toward a new start next season after relegation. Missing a couple of players through suspension or injury they took a league through Adam Wadmore who scored with a well controlled volley from 14 yards into the roof of the net. Danny Waldren extended the lead before the interval with another one of his free-kicks that eluded the 'keeper into the top corner. YM came back into the game but Croydon were rarely troubled and they rounded off the game when substitute Greg Andrews scored after being on the pitch just a couple of minutes as he ghosted in on the far side to slot home the loose ball.

The game marked the last for season top scorer Moses Ademola. He has secured a contract with Brentford next season and, substituted in the second half, he received a rousing send off from the travelling faithful.

Croydon Athletic finished 13th in the table, an improvement on last season and, with recent top form, great expectations for next term.
