Cray Wanderers 1 v 1 Croydon Athletic
Ryman League Division One South - Hayes Lane. Att: 182
Saturday, 22nd March 2008
The weather has taken a turn for the worst this Easter weekend with snow predicted for tomorrow. As of today, it was freezing strong winds and showers that disrupted the flow of the game but was not enough to put the Rams off. They took the lead with the splendid shot by Moses Ademola early in the first half and looked good for their lead. And it took an excellent equaliser to pull Cray back into the game and set up the draw.
Croydon were well worth their point as they extend the unbeaten run to five games. Good chances could have seen them grab all the points but on balance a draw was probably a fair result against the team 3rd in the table. It would be hard to pick a man-of-the-match as the whole team played well with much more guile. They seem to have a clearer game-plan and seem to know better what to do in their respective roles. Dave Garland has had the effect on Rams that Warnock had on the Eagles.
