After a 15-game run without defeat it is now 4 games without a win and suddenly the certainty of promotion is a distant memory. Football supporters are fickle after all.
The game was poor and although the goal was fortunate from Ipswich's point of view the result wasn't. Palace never really looked like scoring or, to be more accurate, never created enough to warrent a goal. The change in fortune seems to have coincided with a drop in form of Shaun Derry who, while on loan, was a revelation but since making his move permanent has put in below par performances.
No doubt that Neil Warnock will pull it around but a run of difficult games means that the next points are difficult to see.
