Not the most inspiring game that ended with a clear winner but it was only 2 goals in the final few minutes that gave a flattering scoreline to the home side. In truth Leatherhead never looked like they would trouble Tooting unless they could exploit a mistake but the uninspiring game would have drifted into extra time had they managed to pull level.
Tooting left a few players out and brought on 3 substitutes who would normally have been starters. Their influence helped ensure the final result was beyond doubt.
In the next round they will play Merstham. Merstham are running away with the Combined Counties League and look set to seek a place in the Ryman League next season. Also on Tuesday they beat Ryman side Chipstead easily.
