Crystal Palace 1 v 1 West Bromwich Albion
Championship - Selhurst Park. Att: 15,247
Saturday, 1st December 2007
WBA were looking for a win to go top of the table and after been relegated from the Premiership last season they are already looking good bets for promotion. But the revitalised Palace team did not allow that to bother them as they competed man for man with the visitors.
Albion looked confident but the new organised Palace played well especially after going behind through an own-goal. They got level through a Clinton Morrison goal after he was left alone at the back post and rifled the ball home. More chances followed and although Albion hit the bar in the first half it was their only other real chance.
Things do seem to be looking up. The team look organised and suddenly have a sense of purpose on the pitch. Players who looked ordinary under Taylor have found a new lease of life. Still only 5 points above the relegation zone they are also only 9 points below the play-offs and suddenly there is a sense that fans are looking up rather than down.
