Is it curtains for Taylor...

Crystal Palace 1 v 1 Coventry City
Championship - Selhurst Park. Att 14,455
Tuesday, 18th September

Yet another disappointing performance as Palace give up a lead in the last few minutes. Stuart Green put them ahead in the first half and although the team were not dominating they probably deserved their lead. In the second half Coventry gradually came more and more into the game and pushed Palace back further and further toward their own goal. The defensive mentality saw increasing frustration by the home supporters and eventually the visitors got what they wanted, an equaliser.

It almost had the feel of "no more than they deserved". Tactically the team does not appear to be hugely adept and the frustration with Taylor continues to grow. I had never had much excitement about his performance but have desparately wanted to be proved wrong. It is does not appear that I will be and the question is 'how long can Taylor last'!

The greeting for Iain Dowie was mixed and certainly did not come near the hostility for Steve Bruce. Supporters still remember the good times under Dowie and even in the last year, not his most inspiring, we still made the play-offs.

Away from Selhurst Park, today saw the reply of Saturday's Cup game. Sadly, the Rams went down 2-4 after extra time having led 2-0. A disappointment but still a result to be proud of.
